Exploring the cultural treasures of Kathmandu Valley.
This 5-day trip will allow you to explore the most splendid monuments of the Valley along with its medieval towns, giving you an insight to the rich tradition and unique customs of Nepal.
Kathmandu’s architecture is inspired by the two principal religions practiced in Nepal: Hinduism and Buddhism. The monuments, palaces and temples of those sacred styles can be admired throughout the Kathmandu Valley.
This trip can be an extension to your trip to countries like: Tibet, Bhutan and India
About The Package
Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu (1400 m)
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu you will be welcome by our representative. A short drive will bring you to Gokarna Forest Resort. You will be served a welcome drink and briefed on the itinerary.
Accommodations: Gokarna Forest Resort, BB (Bed and Breakfast)
Day 2: Sightseeing: Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Bhaktapur and Nagarkot
After breakfast you will start an exciting day – a guided tour to three sites listed by UNESCO as World Heritage.
Pashupatinath: One of the most sacred temples of South Asia dedicated to Lord Shiva and crematory site.
Bodanath stupa: One of the sanctuaries of a major importance in Buddhist religion. The area is famous for very high presence of Tibetan refugees and numerous monasteries.
Bhaktapur: This city is known for the rich and unique culture, sophisticated art and craft, architecture, monuments, colorful festivals, and its own lifestyle. The city, in its majority, is inhabited by the Newar ethnic group famous for handicraft and trade skills.
After your visit you will be transferred to Nagarkot, a village located 32 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,195 meters, which offers a splendid panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayas.

Day 3: Sunrise in Nagarkot. Sightseeing: Swayambhunath and Patan Dubar Square
In the morning you will witness the beautiful sunrise view of the Himalayan range. Afterwards you will commence your visits to following sites which are part of UNESCO World Heritage.
Swayambhunath - This 2500-year old stupa is situated on a hill and over-looking Katmandu valley. The painted eyes on four sides represent the all-seeing eyes of Buddha and are watching constantly both: wrong and good doers. This is a place of a high religious value for the Buddhists.
Kathmandu Durbar Square - Situated in the heart of the city, Kathmandu’s old town, is formed by palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings, as well as numerous temples with the most famous one, the living goddess Kumari Bahal.
This intense day concludes with the visit to the ancient city of Patan, also known as Lalitpur, which means “city of fine arts”. Patan lies 5 km south of Kathmandu. The whole complex of its old town - Durbar Square - consists of different sections of medieval palaces. Patan is also very famous for its handicrafts.

Day 4: Free day in Kathmandu
Free day: Take your time walking around Durbar Marg, a fancy avenue that leads to the Narayanhity Palace Museum.
You can also purchase some local souvenirs in Thamel, the most popular touristic area in Kathmandu, where you can find all kinds of facilities and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants.
Mountain flight: It is the best option to see the Himalayas for those travelers who have limited time in Nepal. This could be an unforgettable experience for you to witness a breath-taking panoramic view of the highest mountains in the world.

Day 5: International departure
You will be transferred to the international airport three hours prior to departure time of the flight back to your home country.
