With heavy heart, we are removing the trip itinerary for “Everest Base Camp Charity Trek 2020”. “Safety” has always been first priority, therefore meantime with rise in COVID-19 cases we are halting all the trips with full confident that you will be with us in “NEPAL” next year. This is not the end, we will confidently rebound again in 2021 with great trips. We can together fight COVID-19 pandemic and be in peace again.

COVID-19 case numbers are on the rise in Nepal hovering 5000+ confirmed. Inadequate and public health crisis is growing beyond country’s capacity to respond hardly hitting economy. Your support to Nepal during the time of profound crisis is the life-saving gift. Please donate to any local NGO’s of Nepal, if you are thinking of one to make.

Trek for your charity

Our charity trek service was born out of a dream to make a difference through adventure. You can challenge yourself while achieving something great for others. There is nothing on Earth like trekking the Himalayas, and it’s even more rewarding when you’re raising funds for a great cause.

Private group: we work with you to build a trip around your dates and people. We have off-the-shelf Everest Base Camp and other packages ready to go that we can also tailor to your needs.

We recognise that people coming on charity treks may be new to the mountains and multi-day treks at altitude. We provide extra support, guidance, advice and gear to make sure you have as comfortable, safe and successful a trip as possible.

Successful Trekkers

Maiti Trek 2013

The inaugural Maiti Trek to Everest Base Camp in 2013 saw 25 guests collectively raise AUD$25,000 for their chosen charity, Maiti Nepal – a Nepalese NGO that does incredible work to eradicate the trafficking and slavery of Nepali women and children. Melissa Bridge, founder of Encore Travels, Australia came up with the idea and ran it through her ‘Giving back through Adventure’ initiative with Everest legend Karma Geljen Sherpa at the helm. We’re very happy to partner with Melissa and hope she’ll be back again soon!

PwC for Wellbeing Of Women 2017

In April 2017 15 intrepid trekkers from across the world set off on a mission to get to Everest Base Camp (and back!) and to take as many pictures as possible on the way 😉 They did it! And they raised over £22,000 for UK based Wellbeing of Women. Nice work team!

Himalayan Development Foundation Australia (HDFA) to KBC, 2017

This team of HDFA’’s Board members and a few of their major philanthropic friends journeyed way out East, through tea plantations, jungles and up the sides of the mighty Tamur to see HDFA’s work in the village of Ghunsa. Upwards and onwards they went to reach the third highest mountain in the world – Kanchenjunga – the northern Base Camp. The team had incredible views, stunning weather and a very warm welcome in this less-trekked region. A heli out with a wee whizz past Everest on the way back topped off a magical trip! Well done guys – so far over $120,000 contributed to sustainable community development in the region.

PwC for the Alzheimer’s Society 2017

Not to be outdone by their colleagues we supported 13 fine friends in getting to Base Camp and back. Although later in the season these guys faced some tough conditions: deep snow, freezing nights and a very bouncy plane ride. Well done team – £xxxxx raised for the UK based Alzheimer Society
