You will come up with many fascinating landscapes and picturesque location on this trek. Lo-manthang the capital of former kingdom of Mustang has a lot to offer the visitors. The area of Mustang has been declard as a restricted trekking area by the government of Nepal and requires a special permit to visit this area. There must be a minimum group of 2 to get the special permit for Mustang.
About The Package
DAY 1 : ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU
We welcome you in Kathmandu, the capital and the cultural hub of the nation. You will be transferred to your hotel and a short briefing of your trip after check-in. If you are early in Kathmandu and have extra energy for the day then we can start right there to peek into the world cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu valley.

DAY 2 : FLY TO POKHRA
Today you will fly to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara. It will be your base camp before you start off your trek. Landing on this beautiful city you have got much more to do but to start with a sightseeing of Devis fall, Gupteshwor cave and phewa lake on this day. You will just love to wander around the streets of lake sides and hang around the restaurants nearby the Phewa lake.

DAY 3 : FLY TO JOMSOM
Early morning fly to Jomsom today. A 30 minutes flight to Jomsom will give you a sort of adventure as you pass through the gorges of Kaligandaki between the two massives of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Jomsom is a small town situated behind the himalayas in the bank of Kali gandaki. The day at Jomsom will be an acclimatization day and short excursion around the markets.

DAY 4 : JOMSOM-CHUSSANG - SAMAR
After your breakfast you will take a four wheel drive to Chhussang today. Just a few kilometers drive and you will start getting the glimpse of beautiful land formation on the other part of the high mountains. Driving through the dusty and rocky road through the bank of Kaligandaki river will be a great way to start your trekking in Mustang. From Chussang the walk is uphill towards Chele and crossing the Chele you will reach to Samar.

DAY 5 : SAMAR - GHILING
Today you will be walking towards Ghiling and cross few passes which are near 4000m high. On the way to Ghiling you can visit a cave which is said to be a meditating place for the Guru Rinpoche during the 8th Century.

DAY 6 : GHILING - DHAKMAR
Crossing the village of Dhakmar, your destination ahead is Ghami and passing Ghami you will come to the village of Dhakmar.

DAY 7 : DHAKMAR - GHAR GOMPA - TSARANG
A short hike from Dhakmar will lead you to Ghar gompa today which is an important place for the tibetan buddhism. Ghar gompa is also known as one of the oldest Monastery which was first built during the 8th century after Buddhism was successfully founded in Tibet by tantric guru Padmashambhava.

DAY 8 : TSARANG - LO-MANTHANG
The trek today is to the walled city of Lo-manthang. A former kingdom and a centre of the Mustang with large settlements and the royal palace.

DAY 9 : LO-MANTHANG & GARPHU
Today you will visit the Lo-manthang and Garphu which is a popular place to see the ancient caves of Mustang. You can enjoy the walk or take a horse ride during your visit in these places.

DAY 10 : LO-MANTHANG – DHI GAON
Today you will leave Lo-manthang and walk through the bank of Kali gandaki and cross towards the village of Dhi. From Dhi you will be going up to Luri gompa.

DAY 11 : DHI GAON – LURI GOMPA – DHI
Early morning walk to Luri gompa and return down to Dhi gaon.

DAY 12 : DHI –TSARANG
The walk today will be back to Tsarang.

DAY 13 : TSARANG –MUKTINATH – JOMSOM
Drive Tsarang to Chussang and to Muktinath. Muktinath is one of the holiest place for both Hindus and Budhists. Many people from India and Nepal visit this place as pilgrimage. The temple of Muktinath is surrounded by beautiful tree garden with 108 water fountains where people take bath. In the evening you will drive towards Jomsom and overnight at Jomsom.

DAY 14 : JOMSOM – POKHARA – KATHMANDU
Early morning you will fly to Pokhara and take another flight back to Kathmandu the same day. Free day in Kathmandu for rest or you can go shopping in the streets of Thamel.

DAY 15 : FINAL DEPARTURE

Visa and passport for Nepal
It is necessary to have a valid passport that will be valid at least six months after the date of visa application. The visa can be obtained very quickly at the Embassy before departure or at each border crossing or arrival at Kathmandu airport (bring two photos and a short wait); tourist visa cannot give rise to a maximum stay of 150 days in a calendar year.
15 days, multi-entries: 25 USD (please make sure you have multiple entry visa for extended trip to Bhutan, Tibet or India)
30 days multi-entries: 40 USD (please make sure you have multiple entry visa for extended trip to Bhutan, Tibet or India)
90 days multi-entries: 100 USD (please make sure you have multiple entry visa for extended trip to Bhutan, Tibet or India)
90 days to 150 days: $ 2 a day, and 20 USD for multiple entry.
Other visas are more complicated to obtain; the instructions are on the website of the Embassy in your countries.
Weather, Gears & Equipments
The trekking in the Himalayas or any short hiking around the villages are best with right gears and equipment. If you are going for high altitude trekking you need to be clothed appropriately. The paths in the mountains are very rugged and difficult so one need to be with a good and comfortable pair of used boots. The temperature goes very low and below freezing level depending upon the time and place you are in. The warm down jackets, rain gears, caps, sun glasses are necessary to be carried for longer treks at higher altitudes.
